Solar Energy Projects
Southpole/Wicked Fashions – Fort Lee, NJ
34.272 kW Solar-Integrated Roof
Overview
This system was a truly BIPV system in that the Uni-Solar thin-film panels were applied as an integral part of the roof. The combination created a durable and practical energy-producing roof that is not restricted, due to the ruggedness of the photovoltaic laminates, so compromises for servicing roof-mounted equipment do not have to be made. Roof loading is a non-issue due to the fact that the photovoltaic laminates weigh less than one pound per square foot, a tiny fraction of the weight of glass-based photovoltaic panels.
