Pfister Energy adhered Uni-Solar flexible solar panels directly to the existing roofing material to create a lightweight solar roof with a return on investment of only four years. With a lifespan of 30 years and a 20-year warranty from the roofing and solar panel manufacturers, this new roof will be generating revenue for over 20 years and is expected to meet 90 percent of electricity demands. The project was designed in cooperation with an architectural firm in order to accentuate the aesthetic value of the thin-film photovoltaic system. It also showcases what Pfister Energy strives for in creating building-integrated solutions.
